About Joy
Hi! I’m Joy—thanks for being here. Joy’s Kind Kitchen was born from a desire to bring a little light to my community by doing something I truly love. For more than 20 years, my career followed a unique, winding path through corporate America, but the common thread was always the same: doing work that matters. Whether through scientific research, creative storytelling, community employment efforts, or empowering global teams, my “why” has always been centered on making a positive impact.
After experiencing two rounds of layoffs in 2024 and 2025, I knew it was time for a change. I wanted to create something meaningful close to home and reconnect with my creative side. From that moment, Joy’s Kind Kitchen was born out of my home in Crystal, MN.
My mission is to fill a gap in plant-based treats in the western Twin Cities metro—offering delicious vegan pastries without sacrificing the rich flavors you’d expect from traditional baking. Each treat is made with kindness, compassion, and community at heart, and I look forward to partnering with local organizations to give back where it’s needed most.
